The oldest monastic establishment in the West still in operation, the abbey of Saint-Martin de Ligugé was founded in 361 by Saint Martin.
Free visit of the church.
To discover this magnificent place and its history, the 28 monks who count today the abbey invite you to the museum of the monastic life.
Their ideal of life is the Rule of St Benoit.
This museum of enamels, presents this art they master since 1945.
And do not leave without having tasted the regional pastry they make, la Scofa.

All year from 6:15 to 21:30.
Bookstore and museum gallery closed on Mondays
