ABBAYE SAINT MARTIN DE LIGUGE

Place du Révérend Père Lambert - 86240 LIGUGE

The oldest monastic establishment in the West still active, the abbey of Saint-Martin de Ligugé was founded in 361 by Saint Martin.
To discover this magnificent place and its history, the 25 monks that count today the abbey invite you to the museum of monastic life. Also visit the Enamel Museum, which they have mastered since 1945. And do not leave without having tasted the regional pastry they make, the Scofa.
