EGLISE SAINT ETIENNE A CELLE L'EVESCAULT

86600 CELLE LEVESCAULT

Church of the 12th and 13th S, with a bell tower of the 15th century.
The church plan of the 12th and 13th centuries, apart from the bell tower added to the 15th, is a sober rectangle of five bays: nave of three bays and choir of two bays with right bedside.
The lower parts of the nave, with their semicircular windows, and the side door of the south wall, belong to the Romanesque period.
The western door is from the 13th century.
