On the site of the current church existed a church built in the eleventh century and enlarged in the twelfth century.
It was consolidated by a porch bell tower in 1852. In 1866, it was rebuilt because of its dilapidation.
In 1868, the church was consecrated by Bishop Pie, bishop of Poitiers.
The poorly furnished church at the beginning, has many monochrome or polychrome statues.
A platform built by Father Colin is surmounted by a naive painting depicting St Jacques the Miner and St Philippe, double term under which is placed the church.
