From June 15 to 17, 2018 , Poitiers offers activities on archaeological collections during the national days of archeology.

Visit of the exhibition "All humans."
From June 15th to 17th at 14h, 15h, 16h and 17h at Espace Mendès France (1 rue de la Cathédrale)
The All Humans exhibition . relies on the most recent scientific discoveries. It takes into account the historical dimension, but also the actuality of these last years in particular on the cultural, political and social level. The route proposed to visitors is based on five parts consisting of informative panels, objects, photos, videos, experiments and manipulations. Accompanied by a host, visitors will discover homo sapiens.

The hypogeum of the dunes
June 16th and 17th at 11am, 2:30 pm and 4pm at the hypogeum (101 rue du Père de la Croix)
Visits to the hypogeum by Pascal Faracci, director of museums, and Françoise d'Argenson, art historian.
In a century-old coniferous garden, stands a 1908 construction that protects a site dating back to the Merovingian period. Classified Historical Monuments - Museum of France, the hypogeum remains one of the most emblematic monuments of the High Middle Ages in Europe.

Thanks to 3D Poitiers Evolution, go back in time and discover through the rich district of Puygarreau dating from the Gallo-Roman era the evolution and transformation of the city and take a guided tour for 1:30 with an approved guide-lecturer, Patrice Rocas.

Presentation of the missions of an archaeologist and the archeology of the basement by Christophe Bélliard, municipal archaeologist.

June 17 at 4:30 pm at the Sainte-Croix Museum
Discovery of the new museum space in the archeology department by Sébastien Lefebvre, guide-lecturer.
