Blossac Park, created in the late seventeenth century is composed of a magnificent terrace of 9 hectares located above the valley of Clain de Poitiers.
It consists of different gardens around a large perspective "à la française":

The French garden
This garden is very geometric because influenced by the style of the great gardeners of the reign of Louis XIV. This geometry made it possible to create several points of view. In order to modernize it, the Poitevins added a bandstand, a water jet basin and two sculptures by Antoine Etex.

The English garden
The foliage in abundance create games of volumes and colors. Water is a strong element of this garden: caves, fountains and artificial river.
Statues are installed to pay tribute to the Count of Blossac and the poet Léon Perrault.

The garden of shade and light
These two gardens face each other. Visitors will find on one side a garden topped with a pergola that sculpts the light. Under this pergola, the blooms and foliage were chosen for their dark colors. On the other side, they will be able to see a garden made of foliage and flowers with bright and brilliant colors.

The Grand Pré
A green theater overlooks a large, sunny meadow that hosts the fireworks of July 14 and major concerts in summer.

The rock garden
The base of the ramparts of Blossac was highlighted thanks to the presence of plants that mingle with the rock creating a rock garden and a Mediterranean garden.

The zoo
Many animals live in Blossac Park: chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets and many more.
