The square and its monument to the dead of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 dates from 1895. The bronze Jules Coutant nineteenth century represents a dying soldier. He meets a contemporary work: Anisotropic Panrama Benedict-Marie Moriceau, a "curtain" of 100 masts whose color varies according to the movements and points of view. The square hosts every Friday a local farmers market.
